Volleyball is a rare and unique sport in South Africa, it
is not popular like soccer, ruby etc. Volleyball is an organised sport, and it
is associated with two teams of six players separated with a net.
During a volleyball game, players aim to win by scoring
points by grounding a ball on the other team’s court under some certain
organised rules.
From 21 to 24 September 2022, COSACSA invited all provinces
from South Africa to participate in College Sports, Arts and Culture South
Africa (COSACSA) National summer ball games that were held at Tshwane
University of Technology (TUT) Pretoria Campus. These National games involved
Volleyball, ladies’ soccer, male soccer, and basketball.

They are heading to Bloemfontein month end for national
league. Hats off to all the participates and conquerors who toiled to bring
home their hard-earned medals as a reward of their hard work.
Halala Mabuza is one of the players from KwaZulu Natal, he
was asked what made them lose the match.

”On my side I will say we were not well prepared for the
game we didn’t have enough time to practise because they chose 4 players from
Mfolozi, 1 ESayidi, and 7 from Majuba and that was not a good thing from the
start to just mix us like that just because we’re all from KZN, we only met
once on the ground only I think these reasons I’ve mentioned above made us lose
the game,” he explained.

Competing in a championship is not only about winning, but
also about losing and having hope and faith to get back and strike again until
you make it.
